Hollermann Rolan 1137-ET Tops Minnesota Spring Special Online Sale
The Minnesota Holstein Association (MHA) Spring Special Sale took a new shape this year. MHA partnered with CattleClub.com to offer an online sale that took place from February 28th to March 2nd. The sale happened in conjunction with the Minnesota All-Breeds Convention ending at 1 p.m. as the Convention was wrapping up.
The sale featured 28 lots. Each lot was displayed on its own webpage that included pictures, a video, and pedigree information about the lot. All bidding took place online from CattleClub.com. Although the sale happened in conjunction with the Minnesota All-Breeds Convention, the consignments received attention from around the world. A total of 639 bids were placed and cattle were viewed from 41 states and 10 countries around the world.
HIGH-SELLER: HOLLERMANN ROLAN 1137-ET
A starting bid price needed to be met for lots to sell. A total of 18 lots sold and averaged about $4,647 per lot. The high-seller of the sale was Hollermann Rolan 1137-ET consigned by Shawn Hollermann. The heifer was purchased by Melarry Farms for $41,000. Another highlight of the sale was Lot 1, Hoese Doorman Lover consigned by David & Jeremy Hoese. They generously donated all of the proceeds of the heifer to the Minnesota Junior Holstein Association. She sold for $1,500 and was purchased by John Holmgren. See the rest of the sale results below:
