District 1 Holstein Show (Rochester, MN)

On July 24th, 2019 the District 1 Holstein Show was held in Rochester, Minn., at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds where Mandi Bue was the judge.

 Junior Champion went to the first place Fall Calf, Holly-D Avala Lacey-Red-ETS exhibited by Nicholas, Katherine & Clara Thompson. Reserve Junior Champion went to the first place Winter Heifer Calf, Macland 1st Grade Star exhibited by Kylie Kay Verthein. The Red and White Junior Champion was Holly-D Avala Lacey-Red-ETS. The Reserve Junior Champion Red and White was the second place Summer Yearling, Kiefland DB Miley-Red exhibited by Brea & Ava Kieffer.

Intermediate Champion went to the first place Senior Three-Year Old Sheeknoll Beemer 2596-ET exhibited by Sheeknoll Farms. Reserve Intermediate Champion went to the first place Junior Three-Year Old, Shir-Man Embassy Icicle exhibited by Haely & Kayla Leiding. 

Senior Champion went to the first place Four-Year Old, Sheeknoll Beemer 2577-ET, exhibited by Sheeknoll Farms. Reserve Senior Champion went to the first place Five-Year Old, Holly-D Bapple Icing exhibited by Nicholas, Catherine & Clara Thompson. Red and White Senior Champion was awarded to the second place Four-Year Old, Erbacres Angel Anael-Red-ET exhibited by Duncanson Holsteins. Red and White Reserve Senior Champion was awarded to Holly-D Bapple Icing. 

Grand Champion, Best Udder, and Best Bred and Owned was awarded to Sheeknoll Beemer 2577-ET, exhibited by Sheeknoll Farms. Reserve Grand Champion was awarded to Sheeknoll Beemer 2596-ET exhibited by Sheeknoll Farms. Premier Breeder and Exhibitor was awarded to Sheeknoll Farms.

Two showmanship classes were also judged. Anna Keiffer was named the Champion Junior Showman and Adhyn Schell received the Reserve Champion Junior Showman. In the Senior Showmanship division, Clara Thompson was named Champion and Jasenko Gavranovic was named the Reserve Champion Senior Showman.
