2017 MN Junior Holstein Show
The 2017 Minnesota State Junior Holstein Show was held on June 23, 2017 in Hutchinson, Minnesota at the McLeod County Fairgrounds. Judge Jason Danhof placed 77 heifers and 34 cows for a grand total of 111 head in the junior show.
Junior Champion of the show was awarded to the first place Winter Yearling, Budjon-Vail HP At Senshi-ET, exhibited by Trevor Tuman & Chandler Bening. First place Summer Yearling, Intrigue Rainy Eclipse exhibited by Cory Schmidt was honored as Reserve Junior Champion.
Intermediate Champion honors were awarded to first place Senior Two-Year-Old, Sunnylodge Greenane Leona exhibited by Joseph, Zach, Jerome & Darian Stransky Strans-Tola Ability Brit-ET, second place Senior Two-Year-Old was selected as Reserve Intermediate Champion, exhibited by Joseph, Zach, Jerome & Darian Stransky.
Ms Stadview Atwood Felicia, first place four-year old, exhibited by Dillon Gratz was selected as Senior Champion. Reserve Senior Champion honors were presented to the first place Five-Year Old, Cowpens Esperanza Estel, Hope, Tanner & Peyton Morrison.
Grand Champion honors of the Junior Show were awarded to Senior Champion, Ms Stadview Atwood Felicia, exhibited Dillon Gratz. Reserve champion honors were presented to reserve Senior Champion, Cowpens Esperanza Estel exhibited by Hope, Tanner & Peyton Morrison.
The show was concluded by friendly showmanship competitions in the junior (ages 14 and younger) and senior (ages 15-21) divisions. Judge Danhof awarded Andrew Zylstra the Junior Showmanship Champion. Chandler Bening took home Reserve Junior Showmanship honors. Senior showmanship champion was Sarah Beck and McKenzie Swanson was reserve.
