It was a beautiful fall day in Minnesota for the 2017 Minnesota Fall Harvest Sale, buyers and bidders from all over the state filled the bleachers at the McLeod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Minn. The sale was held on Saturday, November 18, 2017. At the sale 71 lots were auctioned off and included one half lot. The sale averaged $1,881 on the 72 lots. The cows averaged $1945, the bred heifers averaged $1627 and the open heifers averaged $1964.
The high seller of the day was lot 7, Dyk-Vue Archrival Reba, consigned by Larry Dykstra, and purchased by Troy Stimson, Watertown, SD for $4,050.The second high seller was lot 34, Md-Maple Lawn Shiloh, consigned by Jim Vierhout, and purchased by South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD for $3,500.
This years raffle grand prize winner was Tim Hoese from Glencoe, MN. Tim chose the cash award. Other winners included: Adam Wolters, Chris Schulze, Josh Nelson, Nate Donney, Trevor Breyer, Eric Sonnek, Jerry Lindahl, Dustin Hoss, and Seth Rupprecht.
