It was a cool, crisp morning in Minnesota for the 2016 Minnesota Fall Harvest Sale, but that didn’t stop buyers and bidders from filling the bleachers at the McLeod County Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Minn. The sale was held on Saturday, November 19, 2016. At the sale 87 lots were auctioned off and included two half lots. The sale averaged $2,399 on the 87 lots. The cows averaged $2351, the bred heifers averaged $2230 and the open heifers averaged $2648.
The high seller of the day was lot 6, Summer-Dream 1985 M2510-ET consigned by Jim Vierhout, and purchased by Deboer Holsteins, Corona, SD for $11,250.The second high seller was lot 8, Melarry Modesty Soncha consighed by Melarry Farms and purchased by Jim Vierhout, Hull, IA for $6000.
This years raffle grand prize winner was Bob Eustice from Byron, MN. Bob took home raffle calf number 2, SD-Ashview Glauco Pat, consigned by Ted & Molly Norling.
